Ireland has 2 major airports- Dublin International and Belfast International. There are direct flights to Dublin from both the west coast and east coast. If you are traveling from the west coast of the States there are direct flights into Dublin, but it is a 4 hour drive from Dublin to Derry.

Belfast International Airport is only 1.5 hours from Derry by Train, Bus or Car. You can fly direct from the east coast, but if flying from the west coast will need to change planes.
