In 2020 Shontell and Terry met on a popular online dating app. They had each recently moved to the Washington, DC area. After a few conversations, the couple knew that it was time to meet in person. After chatting for hours in one of their favorite Washington, DC restaurants, Busboys and Poets, they ended the date with a late night stroll around a 24-hour grocery store. Fast forward just a few weeks, and Shontell knew Terry was "the one" when he cheerfully drove 45 minutes to her home for the first time, on a work night just to eliminate a very large bug in her room. They've enjoyed a steady love since then and can't wait to spend a lifetime together!
