By when should I RSVP for the wedding?

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

No. There will not be a virtual celebration.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP on this website (look for the RSVP tab above), OR you can mail in your RSVP card that came with your paper invitation. Or lastly, you can text Shilloy or Ruben directly. Only one way is necessary. However, if you did all three, don't worry about it!

I want to give the couple a gift. Are they registered?

Answer

The couple is not registered but is welcoming contributions to their honeymoon. You can contribute on this website under the Registry: HoneyFund, or there will be a wedding card gift box at the reception.

What is the Wedding attire?

Answer

The wedding colors are black and deep red, with accents of greenery. And, while the wedding party will be formally dressed in tuxes and gowns, guests can wear whatever color & style that makes them feel fancy and ready for fun! The point is to come in what makes you happy!

Do I have to stay overnight?

Answer

No. Santa Barbara is only 90 miles/90 minutes from Los Angeles. One could come for the wedding only. Many may choose to relax in the evening and the next day by getting a hotel. Its totally up to you.

Are there hotel room blocks booked for guests?

Answer

No. Many options are nearby; we suggest booking one at your earliest convenience. Be sure to check out the extensive list of possibilities on the Hotel tab on this website. See notes for who is staying where and what rate they got.

What is the closest major airport to Santa Barbara?

Answer

Arriving via LAX: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the closest large international airport, approximately 100 miles south of UCSB. The Santa Barbara Airbus offers scheduled trips to and from LAX.

Is there an airport in Santa Barbara?

Answer

Yes. The Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) For those flying in, Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) is a 10-mile drive from downtown Santa Barbara, offering a flyer-friendly experience with easy access from terminal to gate.

How hot is Santa Barbara in July?

Answer

Daily high temperatures are around 76°F, rarely falling below 70°F or exceeding 81°F. Daily low temperatures are around 59°F, rarely falling below 54°F or exceeding 64°F.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony takes place inside of a charming and romantic old Spanish chapel with high ceilings and an open-air environment.

Are children invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children – thank you for your understanding.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Be sure to arrive at 3:30 pm to ensure you get a seat at the ceremony! The ceremony starts at 4 pm.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. Free parking is available at El Presidio Chapel (ceremony) and El Paseo (reception). Signage will be visible upon arrival. The reception is within walking distance from the ceremony.

Will transportation be provided? How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

No. Transportation is not provided. However, we suggest guests use Lyft or Uber from their hotel if needed. Or perhaps guests can inquire if the hotel can provide a shuttle to the El Presidio Chapel. The reception is within walking distance from the ceremony.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Mexican cuisine will be served, and a Salmon option will be at the buffet. If you have further restrictions, please call the Matron of Honor, Jazmin, at 562-537-37777.

Answer

Yes, be sure to use the hashtag #sanchezgetslomelied when posting pics of all the events!

Is the Marachi Parade long?

Answer

No, it is approximately 2 blocks. You are welcome to change shoes, remove shoes or parade at a slow pace.

Do I have to walk the Mariachi Parade?

Answer

No. You can go straight to the reception venue a 1/2 a block away, across the street. Please make sure to let us know if that is what you prefer. Or you can decide that day!

Should I bring a bathing suit, towel & sunscreen?

Answer

Yes! Join the newlyweds on the beach the day after. See schedule!
