Hannah and Justin got engaged on December 21st, 2022 in Wilmington, Delaware, where the two reside with their dog, Charlie. It was the last weekend that the holiday lights would be lit along the water front, so Justin planned to take Hannah to Del Pez where they could enjoy margaritas like they had on their first date at Vida Taco Bar in Downtown Annapolis before viewing the light displays. As the two walked along the water front after dinner Hannah repeated the chorus to "Marry You," by Bruno Mars, which she had coincidentally been singing all night. Upon walking through a circle of holiday lit trees with snowflakes hanging from the branches, Hannah asked to stop and take a picture, and Justin, needing more time to mentally prepare, said "Sure, but on the way back." Upon returning to the winter wonderland view, Hannah began dancing around like a goof ball and looked over at Justin who was grinning ear to ear and beginning to get emotional. After sharing some meaningful words, Justin got down on one knee and popped the question. Hannah blacked out after this, but the two of them recount that she ran around the park like a dog having zoomies. And yes, Justin captured this in a video.
