Ready to start a lifetime of fun!!!

When Shelley was 15 and Corey was 16, they had an Algebra 3/4 class together at Apollo High School in Glendale, AZ. Their first date was Homecoming at Apollo High School in 1987. They became friends, and eventually Corey gave in to Shelley and they became a couple. They dated over the summer of 1988 and remained friends after Corey broke up with Shelley 7 days before her 16th birthday! (According to Shelley's journal) But, he very sweetly came over and gave her all the presents he had purchased for her anyway. After 25 years of living separate lives and a brief phone call around 2008, they reconnected in March of 2014. They had so much to catch up on and a lot of life experiences to share with each other. They again became friends and started spending time together, but being friends wasn't enough for either one of them. As they got to know each other again, they realized how much they had in common and how much they enjoyed their time together. Two and a half years later, Corey surprised Shelley at their joint birthday party and asked her to marry him! Shelley said yes! They picked a DJ and a wedding date...in that order. Then Shelley read her in her journal, months later, that the wedding date they picked was the exact 30 year anniversary of the day they met in high school! According to Shelley's journal, "I met Corey on Oct 14, 1987. I had crimped my hair and class (3rd hour Alg.) was over and I was about ready to get up and somebody said "Hey" Pretty loud. I jumped and turned around and Corey told me that my hair looked good and that he liked it." We are excited to begin our married life together and celebrate with all of you at our wedding!
