The Impression 5 Science Center, is a science museum located in downtown Lansing, Michigan. Formerly known as the Impression 5 Museum, the center is located in a historic wagon works factory on the Grand River. The name, Impression 5, refers to the five senses. With exhibitions focused on each of those senses, kids are guaranteed to have a blast!

Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum

Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

20900 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, MI 48124

If you're up for the 1 hour drive, or headed to DTW for your flight, the Henry Ford Museum is an absolute must see. Shelby loved seeing the relics of Americana up-close, her favorites; the Kennedy Motorcade and Rosa Parks Bus. She loved racing the best man on the driving simulators, and climbing through the steam engines. October is a perfect time to stroll through Greenfield Village or take a ride in Model T, you'll pass by Edison's R&D lab, a working farm, and dozens of other historical buildings to explore. And if you still have time you can take the Ford Rouge Factory Tour, which departs from the museum.

HopCat

300 Grove Street, East Lansing, MI 48823

With 59 beers on tap, Shaun felt this had to be shared! A fun local spot of a drink and dinner.

Frankenmuth

Frankenmuth, MI

Michigan's Little Bavaria, about an hour from East Lansing, is famous for it's all you can eat family style fried chicken dinners (they have great vegetarian options), tourist shops, and a massive waterpark.

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland

25 Christmas Lane, Frankenmuth, MI 48734

Just outside of Frankenmuth, you'll find Christmas year round. Bronner's is a one of a kind Christmas mega store, with lots of unique ornaments and decor. If you're going to Frankenmuth, this is a must visit. Shelby loved that they had ornaments for every occasion when she visited.
