Story time!! What a lot of people don’t know is, I met Gage when I was a freshman in high school, he was a sophomore. This was one of the few of our little dates that we went on, how cute and awkward right? We ended up splitting ways because timing wasn’t right, and then tried again about a year later, but the timing was still just not there. However, this boy never left my mind. No matter how many dates I went on, I compared them to gage because I always wanted to feel the “butterflies” again that he gave me, and I promised I would never settle until I found that. When we were just 15 and 16, and had no clue of the future, he read to me 1 Corinthians 13 and said that’s how he wanted a relationship to be, and that’s what caught my heart about Gage. I prayed and prayed for him for so long, for a while to come back into my life, and then never thought he’d come back into my life, so I continued to pray for my “future husband” not knowing who in the world God was going to send my way one day. I prayed for the strength to never settle, and to prepare my heart for whoever he was going to send my way. God works in mysterious ways, and brought the boy who I first “fell” for when I was just 15 yrs old back into my life with his sweet and perfect timing. On Saturday, Feb 16th, Gage read to me 1 Corinthians 13 out of his bible, what he read to me when we were just those freshman and sophomores in high school, and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. If you could ask God how many times I prayed and talked about this boy through the years, he would tell you a wholeee bunch. Gods timing is so sweet and perfect, and I can’t wait to marry this boy who stole my heart so long ago. - Shelby
