During our week long catamaran sail around the U.S. Virgin Islands, Isaac told me we were going to shore in Frederiksted, St. Croix for dinner to celebrate our anniversary! But first, we were going to see the Ham's Bluff lighthouse. Our Captain, Kyle, graciously went with us to lead our journey to the lighthouse and to take lots of photos, videos, and go pro footage. We were all surprised when we arrived at the base of the trail, to find that it was a complete incline to the top! Thankfully it was only a half mile "hike" and was well worth it to see the lighthouse and the beautiful sunset views over the Caribbean. We climbed up to the top of the over 100 year old lighthouse, and while looking into the ocean, Isaac kept pointing and asking me, "Do you see that? Do you see that turtle over there? Over there!" I of course could not see the turtle (nor decipher anything in the ocean from that distance) but, I continued to search until Isaac said "It's over here." I turned to find Isaac on one knee holding a beautiful hand crafted turtle ring box with the ring inside. He said, "will you marry me?" and I of course said YES! After we "hiked" down, I still thought we were going to dinner for our anniversary celebration, but instead, we headed to the beach where our Chef, Stacy, had set up a beautiful picnic which included charcuterie and champagne. It was truly the most magical and special evening! We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
