We're Getting Married!

We met at a networking event in Richmond on July 14th, 2021 at River City Roll. We started talking and hit it off immediately. 10 days later, after lots of texting, we went on our 1st date. A month later, after many more dates, we went to Sheilah's work function in Williamsburg where we danced the night away. While dancing to "I Want to Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston, we both felt the spark, and when Sheilah came back from her family vacation a week later, both of us couldn't wait to tell the other that we loved them. On the 1-year anniversary of our first meeting, Dan made a reservation at River City Roll and totally surprised me by asking me to marry him and, of course, I said YES! Our server told the musician singing that evening, who then told the whole restaurant and played "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis. Dan didn't plan this; the server and musician took it upon themselves, but it just made the whole moment so much more wonderful! We chose July 14th, 2023 since it will be two years to the day, almost to the minute, of our lives intersecting and becoming better than we have ever dreamed.
