Kevin and I attended W.D. Williams Elementary School in Swannanoa in kindergarten and first grade. We dated for a while years later in our 20's. The chemistry was instant. I was attracted to his physique and confidence. He was attracted to my ambition and smile. It has always been easy for us to laugh and have a good time together. Thank God he brought us back together through another mutual friend Roscoe Gibbs back in November of 2020 after seeing him in Home Depot. They had a conversation about work then Roscoe called me after leaving telling me he had seen Kevin and that he was in a good place in life AND that he was single. Roscoe remembered how much I wanted us to work out years ago, and I will always be grateful to him for that. Kevin messaged me on Facebook shortly after. I played it cool and did not rush to get back to him right away. But soon we were emailing and then talking on the phone. I asked him if he did any side work (construction), as I am always looking for good help to get things done around my house in Tennessee! He said he was pretty busy at the moment and seemed to be more interested in how I was doing not my house. We picked right back up where we left off. He was in a good place in more ways than one. As it would turn out I would be in a good place the moment I saw him after all those years, and to this day. I look forward to marrying the man I have always loved. We just had to wait until the time was right. Now it is OUR time. First marriage for both of us. We are blessed to have found each other...once again, and forever. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. We love you and appreciate your efforts to travel to be with us on our day. While we love to see children laugh and play, our wedding will be an adult-only kind of day except for the children in the ceremony. Now let's eat, drink, and celebrate this wonderful life!
