Vikram and Sheettal met at Georgia Tech where they both studied Mechanical Engineering. Sheettal was your typical book worm and spent most of her time in the library and Vikram was more of a "night before the exam" kind of guy. Their very different paths crossed when they took a statics class together Sophomore year. Vikram saw her sitting at the front of the classroom taking notes diligently. She caught his eyes enough to make the back bencher move forward a couple rows and make some moves. Soon they were laughing and giggling over statics homework and so much more. An unlikely friendship and balanced partnership was born. He fell for her kindness, ambition and focus. She fell in love with his go-with-the-flow nature, sense of humor and ability to make the world seem so full of happiness and possibilities. Together, these polar opposites fit like puzzle pieces and made each other whole.
Sheettal is a nature lover and a big fan of surprises. Vikram tied her favorite things together in his proposal with a scavenger hunt through Atlanta's beautiful Piedmont park. With hand written notes and poems at each stop, he walked her through her favorite spots in the park with playful clues and finally brought her to the dock by the lake where he had laid out a red carpet for her with her final note at the end of it. He got down on a knee as the sun set over the lake and asked her to be his wife. As she said YES, the couple's friends and family rushed in from their hiding spots to congratulate them. Cheers to a perfect moment to start their lives together!
