Right person, Right Time

"For nearly a year, the timing for Josh and I never seemed to line up for us to pursue a successful, romantic relationship. Through all of those months, though, he slowly became my best friend and favorite person to hug. He messaged me all summer long flirting with me. On the night before Josh moved back into his college dorm, he messaged me to let me know that sometime this school year I'd be his girlfriend. Of course, I had sworn off relationships and ignored all of the signs that God had made Josh for me. He never stopped pursuing me, though, despite my resistance. Even when I said no to a date on his literal birthday, he still never gave up on me and was vulnerable, kind, and gave me a safe space to heal and be myself again. He has never stopped pursuing me since, no matter the trials we have been through. He is still my best friend and my favorite person to hug, and I cannot wait to finally become his bride. Always + a day." -Shea "When I first came to college, during orientation and between activities and things to do on campus for us freshman, I had noticed Shea full of energy and so enthusiastic. I am the complete opposite, but I noticed her and it made an impression on me. The second semester of school comes around, and I am coming back from shoulder surgery, while getting comfortable wrestling again with my best man Read, I had broke a hair tie. My hair was much longer then, so I asked Read what the pretty blonde girls name was and I went over and asked Shea for a hair tie. That was the first time we had talked and I just couldn’t stop thinking about her. Summer comes around and I am at home in Tennessee working. I’m seeing her online and I’m sending her messages flirting, by the end of summer I knew I wanted to be with her and even told her so. The first night I saw her on campus, she was wearing this little blue dress... I knew from that moment she was going to be my girl. Almost 4 years later and she will be Mrs. Dailey." -Josh
