We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We met in Portland, Oregon at a West Coast Swing Dance Social. We both moved to Portland for our respective studies, and because it had a strong community of West Coast Swing dancers.

We went for a hike in Columbia River Gorge called "Dog Mountain", and had a lovely picnic at the top. Then we drove to Grayson's friend's house to get a car part for his classic mini, and we picked up a free 8 foot tall bookshelf for Shawn and loaded it on top of Grayson's Mini!

On the 3.5 year anniversary of our first date, we were visiting Shawn's parents down in Encinitas, CA. Our dear friend Bronwyn had just arrived and we went for a walk on a beautiful sunny day, stopping at the lookout for Stonesteps, Shawn's favorite beach from her childhood. Grayson asked Bronwyn to take some photos of us, and then he shared a beautiful story and got down on one knee and pulled out a ring for Shawn, that he made himself! The ring is gold with a tsavorite garnet.
