Welcome to our wedding website! We're excited to share the beautiful story of how our love began and continues to grow. How We Met: It was a typical high school day when fate intervened and brought us together. One evening in 2017, I received a text from our dear friend Taylor inviting us to a gathering at Jordan's house. Little did I know, this casual invitation would change my life forever. As I stepped into Jordan's home, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, particularly from a charming stranger named Nelson. His genuine smile and welcoming embrace made me feel instantly at ease, marking the beginning of a friendship that would evolve into something truly special. This was not a love-at-first-sight moment, but it is the moment we met and began to build a wonderful friendship that still serves as the foundation of our relationship. The Proposal: Nelson proposed while on a little getaway to Leavenworth where we stayed at the Obertal Inn. Sunday the 18th we woke up to flurries of snow. It was cold outside so we bundled up and walked to have breakfast at the Renaissance Cafe where we ordered sandwiches and Bloody Mary's. After breakfast, we went on a lovely nature walk in the snow and suddenly my ankle began hurting so we decided to talk back to the car. He had told me about a sleigh ride at 2pm but wanted to get there early so around 12pm we drove to the Lake Wenatchee for another nature walk. We had newly acquired a camcorder to make home movies so he set that up on the beach and when I turned around he was on one knee. He proposed, we kissed, I cried, and we began to celebrate! After the proposal I met the photographer that he hired and we sat on the beach, drank champagne, and had our engagement photoshoot. The rest of the day was beautiful. We went on our sleigh ride, shared the big news with family, and drank plenty of champagne. Once back in Leavenworth town, we stopped at a winery, had amazing cocktails at Blue Spirits Distilling (with the most amazing focaccia), and ended the night at Vsconti's Italian Restaurant where had more champagne, clams, caprese, and fabulous steak dinner. The Wedding: As we eagerly anticipate our wedding day, we envision a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Surrounded by our cherished family and friends, we'll exchange vows of eternal love in the intimate setting of Echo Bay Chapel. Following the ceremony, we can't wait to indulge in delicious food, raise a glass in celebration, and dance the night away beneath the stars. Looking Ahead: As we embark on this new chapter together, we're filled with excitement and anticipation for the future. Nelson's passion for real estate will continue to thrive as I pursue my dream of becoming a naturopathic doctor. Together, we look forward to finding our dream home, creating lasting memories, and eventually starting a family of our own.
