Since Shawna is my big sister and we were homeschooled together, we would play and be around each other all the time. The best part of having a big sister is having a built-in best friend. This means I always had someone to do something with, even if she didn’t want to. Growing up, my mom would make her include me. I have a vague memory of Shawna jumping out of the living room window and running across the front lawn to go hang out with Abby, hoping she would be able to escape me. However, she was not able to, as I chased her through the front lawn and said, “Mom said you have to let me come with you!”. While it may have felt annoying when we were younger, I think we both cherish those simple days together."

Shawna, don’t judge me as your sister-in-law, but to be totally honest I don’t remember when I first met you😅 I think it was about 9 years ago and I don’t have the best memory. You were always so warm and easy to be around from the start, it was like you were always part of the family. In those early years before Joey had his license, I do remember driving him back and forth to your parents house occasionally to see you and thinking “wow what if they get married in the future” haha and look at them now!! It was always so much fun to have you at family holiday gatherings, going to concerts, and hiking trips. You are such a sweet, kind hearted person and I know you wear the pants in the relationship and keep Joey in check!! You are the perfect match for each other I can’t wait for you guys to start the rest of your lives together!!
