30 Day Engagement Countdown.
We met at a mutual friend’s bonfire that neither of us thought we could make. Erik’s job let him leave early, and Sharonda had 2 other events to attend. Upon arrival we were grateful to both see similar young ones and how they had grown. With knowing so many mutual friends we were perplexed how we had never met before. As the night continued, we shared many sweet moments talking about goals, plans, and dreams. When Sharonda got up to sing Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do for Love” to her surprise Erik got up and sang with her. As they helped the host clean, the night ended, and they didn’t exchange numbers….
Erik set up a spa day for Sharonda and some of her friends while he had to “work” that day… She cooked brunch at her house for the girls. Erik reserved a driver to chauffeur them to the bathhouse for a day of relaxation. Sharonda had her suspicions but her friends from near and far were tight lipped and very persuasive that it was nothing more than a “girls' day.” At the eve of the day the driver took them to Your 3rd Spot for dinner and drinks. Upon arrival the hosts gave them champagne and Sharonda was grooving all the way up the stairs to their reserved seats. As she looked up, she saw her father, and tears welled up in her eyes as she knew her loved ones would be close to follow along with her soon to be fiancée.
