The cafe formerly known as Glen Edith holds a special place in my heart. Most weekend mornings you could find us grabbing a latte from this coffee shop since it was a short walk from our first place. While the name and some of its appearance has changed, the delicious coffee, food and friendly vibes are still there!
Take a walk! Just a 5 min~ drive from the Strathallan, this park has a well-maintained track around the reservoir, hiking trails in the woods and lovely skyline views peeking through the trees. Dylan and I used to frequent this spot when we lived in the neighborhood for walks after work or early mornings on the weekend!
This gorgeous property is not even a block down the street from our first apartment. The grounds are stunning (and free!) to walk around, and a place we used to love coming to. Inside, the museum offers a look at how Rochester's own George Eastman (founder of Kodak) used to live as well as the evolution of film and photography. Step back in time and enjoy a really cool piece of Rochester history!
If you have little ones with you, or are a kid at heart, visit this absolute gem in the heart of Rochester. I used to go here all the time when I was little and it's continued to expand and include toys and experiences for children of all ages. This museum is fun for adults and kids alike with a mini Wegman's replica, nationally acclaimed Toy Hall of Fame, interactive exhibits throughout and (Dylan's fave) fully stocked arcade.
