Tyler and Shannon first met at her senior day softball game in 2021 while at The College of Saint Rose. Tyler and Shannon were headed to Norwich for what Shannon thought was to have lunch with her grandparents and get some nice pictures taken. When they arrived at her parents house Tyler took Shannon up to a tree that was planted in memory of her Great Grandmother Frances Franklin (she was Shannon's favorite person). He popped the question by the tree and had sunflowers and roses (Shannon's favorite flowers) waiting for her!
