we're getting married!

I was taking a trip with my friend to crash her brother's college senior week in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. As luck would have it, Tom was a good college friend of my friend's brother and was staying in the same house. As a brief back story, I just moved myself out of my college apartment the day before, got home very late, and then had to turn around and unpack, repack, and make a trek to South Carolina. Needless to say, I was tired, and wasn't in the mood for Tom's charm. But Tom was persistent (and good thing he was!). That night he kept trying to woo me over. As the night was coming to a close, he knew he had to make a move quickly. We were leaving a house party and smacked heads, literally and pretty hard, while deciding which direction to go. Tom asked if I could give his cheekbone a kiss to make it feel better. I fell for it, and he made his move. To add even more luck to our story, Tom is a Florida native but instead of returning home after college, he stayed in Pennsylvania for work. And!- He even moved 15 minutes from where I lived. From there our relationship continued to grow, endured its ups and downs, but outlasted the bad and grew so strong that we knew we were meant to be for a lifetime. So here we are, ready to start this next wonderful and exciting chapter in our lives!

Tom so perfectly planned his proposal in the comfort of our own home, which is also our first place together. Tom stayed home with our dog, Bo, for the day because Bo was sick. Little did I know, he was teaching him a new trick to involve him in the proposal. That night, Tom cooked me his very best dinner. While relaxing, he told me that he wanted to show me a new trick that he had taught Bo. I waited in the family room and out came Bo, with a flower girl basket hanging from his collar, ring box inside. As Bo got closer, Tom got down on one knee and proposed. It couldn't have been a more perfect and meaningful proposal with me and my boys.
