Hinge, a joke about two-stepping, and a playful amount of facebook stalking after realizing one of us had been on a date with the other's friend. We met at the very beginning of 2020 just before the world transitioned to small gatherings and delivery only dinners. After a month of dinner dates, baby goat tours, and roller skating (with one broken wrist) we decided we liked each other enough to brave the indoors together. Shannon was attracted to Kevin's quick wit and adventurous side that always made her laugh and lightened her mood. At the same time Kevin was immediately drawn to Shannon's enthusiasm for life, love for her dog Zoey, and willingness to help him learn to dance! After many game nights, trail hikes & pool parties it quickly became clear that they enjoyed everything best when they were together, so together they decided to stay!

Kevin committed to the surprise and pulled it off! We had recently returned from a beach trip in Mexico, and Kevin sold the occasion under the guise of "enjoying the spring weather with dinner on a random patio restaurant in Lakeway." After dinner we wandered out to a nearby pavilion to see the sunset over Lake Travis. After a few sweet words Kevin took a knee and popped the question. Shannon's sister Kathleen was even there to capture the moment on film from the bushes if need be. As it turned out the pavilion was the perfect place to capture the moment! We even had a small audience of sunset onlookers to congratulate us. It was a beautiful evening that is now one of our favorite moments & memories.
