Zion National Park Entrance
The South Entrance to Zion National Park is located in Springdale, Utah, approximately 7 miles from our wedding property. There is free admission on Wednesday, June 19th if you arrive early and want to explore the park.
Springdale
Springdale is the closest town centre to the wedding property (10min drive). It is a quaint tourist town situated on a strip with several restaurants, convenience stores and attractions.
Shuttle Services
Free shuttle services are available within Springdale and Zion National Park. There is a park admission fee at the South Entrance.
Canyon Overlook Trail
1 Mile tound trip with incredible views! No Shuttle Required. The trailhead is tocated on Zion – Mount Carmel Highway just east of the tunnel. The parking lot is small so keep your fingers crossed that you can get a space here.
Pa'rus Trail Zion National Park
ADA Accessible paved trail that connects the visitor center with canyon junction bridge, following along the Virgin River. 3.5 Miles round trip, but turn around whenever you are ready! No Shuttle Required. Great for scooters and e-bikes!
Angels Landing Trail
This is one of the most breath-taking hikes in Zion. Do not do if you are afraid of heights. Getting to the trailhead requires use of the NPS Shuttle Service and YOU MUST HAVE A PERMIT. Permits open Seasonally for June on April 1 and cost 6$. There is also a day-before lottery for permits. If you receive a permit, be sure to have a photo of it downloaded and your license prior to starting your hike.
The Narrows
The #2 Most Popular Hike in Zion. Try wading through this slot canyon. Go as far as you want before turning around. Shuttle Stop - Temple of Sinawava Equipment - Don't skip out on the water shoes and hiking stick! You Can Rent These Items in Town. Check the conditions before you go; park biologists have found toxic cyanobacteria in still and flowing water at Zion including in the Virgin River (the river through the Narrows) so sometimes the narrows are closed.
Zion – Mount Carmel Highway
Hiking isn't really your thing? No Worries! you can still enjoy the amazing views Zion has to offer. This winding scenic drive connects the visitor center to the East Entrance of the Park. Stop along the switchbacks for photos, where you will have great views of Zion National Park. Cruise through the Zion – Mount Carmel Tunnel and continue the drive through the beautiful landscapes on the east side of the park. Keep an eye out for Bighorn Sheep.
Canyon Trail Horseback Rides
Book an epic horseback ride through the Zion mountains with canyon rides. 1 Hour Trip - Virgin river ride-$60 per person. Be sure to book in advance
