Santa Monica Pier
Check out the ferris wheel at the end of the Santa Monica Pier for amazing views. If you're feeling especially adventurous, try a corn dog and lemonade at Hot Dog on a Stick!
Perry's Beach Rentals
Rent a bike and ride the beach path north to Pacific Palisades or south to Manhattan Beach. Perry's has several locations along the coast, too.
Reel Inn Malibu
Enjoy the scenic views and ocean air as you drive up PCH to the Reel Inn for some fresh caught fish prepared however you like it (we like cajun!). Outdoor seating available, best for lunch.
The Galley
Enjoy a martini with your surf 'n turf and Christmas lights year round at Santa Monica's oldest restaurant established in 1934.
Blueys Kitchen
A great brunch spot with outstanding coffee and Bondi Beach vibes.
DK's Donuts & Bakery

Father's Office
Classic spot on Montana Ave with an excellent selection of craft beers on tap. The burger has been repeatedly voted #1 in LA (but no ketchup allowed!).
The Getty
The Getty is free to visit, but parking reservations ($20) are highly recommended in advance. The permanent collection and special exhibitions are always wonderful, but if you don't like art (who are you?), the architecture, gardens, and views are worth the trip.
Hike to Inspiration Point
A moderate 2.2 mile hike to Inspiration Point in Will Rogers State Park. On a clear day, there are amazing views from DTLA to Malibu.
Hike to Skull Rock
A scenic hike with ocean views in Topanga State Park (small parking lot through the metal fence). Walk up to the trails and then left for mountain views, or right to see the ocean and a rock vaguely resembling a skull.
