Though we knew each other for several years through mutual friends, we didn't get to really know each other until we took a class together at Sierra College in the spring of 2016. And through a shared hatred of computers, a spark ignited. We shared a magical summer together, though it was shadowed by the fall and with it the harsh reality that one of us would be traveling hundreds of miles away for a couple years to pursue their education. (It was Hannah.) We made it through that trial and only grew stronger. Which brings us to today. We look forward to all of you sharing in the moment we begin another adventure this summer.
On Christmas Night, with the help of Hannah's mother and aunt, Shane had the ring tied to one of the Bible verses that were traditionally handed out every Christmas night. This year the verses were hidden in little boxes to conceal the ring. Hannah went last in opening up the boxes and to her surprise she discovered the ring. Shane took it from her, got down on one knee and in front of family and friends stumbled through some words and asked her to marry him. Even more surprisingly, she said yes. And so went another chapter in the love affair of Shane and Hannah.
