We Eloped!

We met at Appalachian State University in 2009 and became good friends over the next few years through hikes along the blue ridge, intramural soccer and tubing trips. It wasn't until 3 years laters in October of 2012 that we started dating. Our love for the mountains and spending time outdoors kept us exploring new areas, one of which was the Roan Highlands. Only two months into dating we came across the Roan Highlands on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. It was such a beautiful mix of evergreens and wide open Balds that created such stark contrast and left a lasting impression on both of us. Since our relationship started and grew around Boone and the Blue Ridge Mountains we found it only fitting to return for our elopement! Almost 8 years later we returned to the Roan Highlands to make it official!
