It all started with a wink!

The day we became Shalyssa was a day we will always remember. Shawn was this shy, nervous gentleman and I was this nervous, talkative woman. Our nerves quickly washed away as we found it so easy to talk to each other. First, we shared coffee at Starbucks in the morning and then we shared some sushi at night. We talked, laughed and enjoyed each other's company all day. We both knew that this was going to be something special from the moment we laid eyes on each other.

On Christmas morning, little did I know that something special was planned for my last gift from him. My last gift, one that had been hanging wrapped on the wall like a decoration for a week before Christmas, was a painting that said, "Since day one, I have loved you. Can you please turn around?" From the first word all the way to the last, had me in tears of joy because I knew deep in my heart what was going to happen. I turned around to find Shawn down on one knee asking me to be his always and forever and of course I said yes! I am so excited to spend the rest of our lives together for always and ever with my best friend!
