Emily and Matthew met at bar in the heart of high street in Columbus, Ohio. Emily had just completed her first semester of graduate school and was celebrating with her roommate. Matthew was meeting his friend from out of town. Matthew's friend Joe (the newlyweds very own matchmaker) saw the girls standing around and offered to let them sit at the table. Matthew and Emily immediately hit it off and had an official first date the next day at a Coffee shop.

Matthew proposed to Emily at the place they love the most: the home they made together. In an intimate backyard proposal, Matthew asked Emily for her hand in marriage, and she said YES!
