We were totally set up! My friend, Layne texted me out of the blue about her husband’s best friend. At the time, Tyler and I were living in Atlanta and Charlotte and basketball season was about to start. I had literally one day where I could meet-up, so Tyler suggested we meet halfway in Clemson where he went to school. That ended up being our first date and the rest is history!

This was truly the best day ever and the biggest surprise! Tyler planned it for the weekend during All-Star Break so I was able to come home for a couple days during the middle of basketball season. It was a normal Saturday — we ate breakfast, grocery shopped, looked at furniture — nothing out of the ordinary. I swear Tyler could be an actor because he showed no signs of something happening that day! We were supposed to meet up with his sister and her two friends for a hike and instead he popped the question! He even planned an entire surprise party at the house for that night. It was the most special day and one I will truly never forget!
