We have no wedding registry. If you would like to give us a gift, we request that all gifts be cash-only at this time.

Is there a dress code?

Refer to the events page. There will be little blurbs regarding outfits for each event.

If you have a plus one, it will show up when you RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Kids are most definitely welcome if they are added as a plus one to your invite.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In Atlanta, during March average daily high temperatures increase from 61°F to 69°F and it is overcast or mostly cloudy about 48% of the time.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Mehndi Night - Indoors Pithi - Indoors Sangeet - Indoors Nikkah - Indoors Reception - Outdoors with a tent, insulated heating

What colors should I avoid?

Mehndi - Free for all Pithi - Avoid wearing yellow; recommended bright colors Sangeet - Avoid wearing Navy Blue Nikkah - Free for all; recommended light/pastel colors Reception - Avoid wearing white; this is an American formal event

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Mehndi will have beers/seltzers Pithi will have beers/seltzers Sangeet will have an open bar Nikkah is a dry event Reception will have an open bar

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

There will always be a vegetarian alternative anytime food is provided.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag, #ShafiKiRani so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
