Where are the ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both taking place at Castle Hill Inn! The address is 590 Ocean Ave, Newport, RI 02840.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside. To the extent there is inclement weather, the ceremony will take place under a tent. The reception is taking place in the Chalet Terrace & Tent at Castle Hill. This tent is a rather sturdy structure complete with flooring.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes, both the indoor and outdoor spaces are handicap accessible. Castle Hill's Chalet Terrace & Tent also has an elevator for access to the restrooms.

Can I arrive at the venue before the ceremony start time?

Answer

Of course! Castle Hill Inn has beautiful views of Narragansett Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. You can enjoy a refreshing cocktail while kicking back in an Adirondack chair overlooking the water. You can also visit the Castle Hill Lighthouse, the garden or one of the private beaches on the property.

Are there hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes, there is a wedding room block at Hotel Viking. Please see the travel section for more details.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! Trolleys will be provided from Hotel Viking to the wedding venue. Trolleys will also be provided from the wedding venue to Hotel Viking and to the After Party. The trolleys will depart Hotel Viking at 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Friday, September 27th. The trolleys will also be provided from Castle Hill Inn to Hotel Viking and Newport Blues Cafe starting at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 11:30 p.m.

Is there parking at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! For those who are planning to the drive to the wedding venue, there is complementary valet when you arrive at the Chalet Terrace & Tent at Castle Hill. If you choose not to drive home, please feel free to leave your vehicle overnight at Castle Hill. You can either take the trolley back into town or request an Uber or Lyft, and retrieve your vehicle the next day.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Although we would love for you to capture our ceremony, we prefer that everybody enjoy the moment and refrain from taking photographs and/or videos during our ceremony. There will be a professional photographer, and we will be more than happy to share those photos with everyone!

After the party, is there an after party!?

Answer

YES! We plan to continue the party at the Newport Blues Cafe. More information to come!

Question

Is there anything planned for the day after the Wedding?

Answer

We are currently working on the details for the day after the wedding. We want everyone to enjoy their morning, so we are planning to hold an informal event later on in the day at 1:00 p.m. for those who are still in Newport!
