Many years ago, in the fall of 2013, Lauren made the bold decision to participate in that year's sorority & fraternity Homecoming dance off (what was that thing even called again?). Fortunately for her, the cutest guy named Seth chose to become involved. As fate would have it, they were paired together to show off their not-so-hot dance moves and break it down to "Get Low" by T-Pain. Lauren's popping and locking and Seth's dropping it low sparked a friendship, which eventually grew into something so much more!
One summer day, Seth came to Lauren and said "okay, you really can't plan anything on July 17th." After 3 months of getting her nails done, Lauren thought it *MAY* be happening. That day, Seth planned an adventure through Boston, to help check off some of those bucket-list activities they had never done. They kayaked the Charles in the rain (weather, questionable; vibes, immaculate), got Tatte (okay, not a bucket list item but still worthy of a mention @tatte) and explored the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. As the day progressed and the weather didn't improve, Seth became increasingly stressed. They hopped in the uber just as it began to downpour, and Lauren would not stop talking about how she was going to wear this dress to something else, but now couldn't, ugh what to do! Luckily, Lauren didn't seem to notice Seth checking his phone and hastily texting. As they approached the Boston Public Gardens, the rain started to ease up. The final rain drops fell as they got out of the car and Lauren saw the most beautiful picnic set up in the distance. Seth got down on one knee and Lauren answered the easiest question she'd ever be asked: YES, she wanted to spend forever with her best friend!
