The Proposal

08.04.23

Our entire relationship has been full of a lot of distance, a lot of driving and a lot of late-night dinners. The new routine has become driving four hours on a Friday after work to get to spend as much time together as possible before the work week starts over. So on Friday the 4th, I did just that. I got to the apartment around 8:00pm (this is important information for later...) and Seth was like are you ready to go? I was being dramatic talking about how tired I was, but if you know me, I was also hangry. We decided to go to our favorite restaurant we found near Seth's new home, Mesero. As we're sitting there, eating the BACKSTABBING queso (also important), he asks if I want to stay and have another drink. He was begging, so I FINALLY agreed ;). We headed back to his apartment, where I saw his new work badge. We were looking at it and I was over analyzing it, as I do, then sat down on the bed. He tells me, "I want to give you something". I look up and to my dismay, there he is on one knee with the most perfect ring I have ever seen. My mouth looked like this :O for a solid 15 seconds. I then told him that it was not real life and that I was going to faint. I proceeded to ask him if he asked my parents, all while not have answering the question. Of course he asked my parents, but a 4 year old little girl pinkie promise will always mean something to me. I FINALLY came to enough to close my mouth and say, "I am so sorry. YES YES YES of course I will marry you!" I then made him get me water because fainting and puking were still on the table. I then stayed in a state of :O for another 3 hours. All in all, he made it 2.5 hours with the ring and I in the same vicinity and got so excited, he had to give it to me. I am so blessed to have someone as impatient as I am! We then proceeded to spend the next day together, with food poisoning from the queso. It is still one of my most cherished days with the man I get to spend the rest of my life with.

For all the days along the way
