Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Our final headcount is due January 1st, 2025 at the absolute latest. Please do not wait to RSVP, we would love to know if you can or cannot make it as soon as possible! RSVP's are all online on this website, just click on the RSVP button in the navigation above.

Question

What is the deadline for booking my room?

Answer

BOOK YOUR ROOM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE There is NO Room Block, rooms will be subject to availability. We recommend that the rooms are reserved as soon as possible in order to make sure that your spot is secured. Payment isn't due until 30 days prior to your arrival, and the rooms are full refundable up to 24 hours before your arrival. **NOTE: March 15th is spring break for a lot of schools, it's very possible that the resort will book up. Unfortunately, if you do not reserve a room in time, you will not be able to attend the wedding.** Be sure to use the PROMOCODE provided on the "Travel" page instructions when booking your reservation - This is how the resort is tracking our guest list and we need your names associated with our party.

Question

Can I stay somewhere outside of the resort?

Answer

The short answer is "no, not really." We chose this all-inclusive 5-star resort because we want our guests to have a great time at a beautiful destination. We also want our guests to be able to hang out with us, with the families, with our friends, and really enjoy each others' company leading up to, and after the wedding itself. Weddings go by so fast and we feel that there isn't enough time to spend with each person, so this is a way that we can see everyone more over a few days. Since the resort is an "all-inclusive", they require anyone on the grounds to be guests of the hotel. Since everything (food, drinks, amenities, etc.) are all included with the price you pay to book the room, the resort does not offer a way for outside persons to pay for a drink at the bar or to buy a meal.

Question

What is "All-Inclusive"?

Answer

"All-Inclusive" means it's all included! The price you pay to book your room includes the room itself and all of your amenities. It includes all of your food and drinks (yes, alcoholic beverages included too), as well as entertainment and activities! It also includes your transportation to and from the airport. The only thing it does not include is your flight itself. If you choose any spa services or excursions, those will be an additional fee as well. From the resort's website: Guests staying at the Excellence Riviera Cancun will enjoy 24-hour Infinite Excellence bespoke service, which includes: • Full breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks each day • 9 à la carte dining options • 1 buffet restaurant for breakfast & lunch, 1 snack grill at the beach for lunch and 2 à la carte lunch options • Crepe station in the afternoon • Takeaway wood oven pizza • 12 bars • Unlimited natural fruit juices and soft drinks • Unlimited premium and domestic alcoholic beverages • 24-hour room service • Pool and beach waiter service • 6 swimming pools • 5 outdoor jacuzzis • Daily activities • Live music during the day • Fully equipped fitness center

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We're over the moon to celebrate our big day with you all! However, we wanted to give you a heads up that the venue we have chosen is an adults-only resort. While we adore kiddos, this resort is strictly for the grown-ups to let loose and enjoy the festivities. We promise it'll be a blast, and we can't wait to raise a toast with you! Thanks for understanding, and let's make some unforgettable memories together!

Question

Can I Bring a Guest?

Answer

We're thrilled to celebrate our special day with each and every one of you! Now, here's the scoop: our venue has a limited guest capacity for the big bash. While we'd love to invite the whole world, we're a bit constrained by space. But fear not! If you want to bring along a buddy to share your room and soak up the vacation vibes, we're totally on board with that! Just keep in mind they won't be able to join the wedding festivities on the big day itself.

Question

Can I take pictures and videos with my phone?

Answer

We kindly request your presence, not just physically, but emotionally, in our intimate ceremony. To ensure every moment is savored and captured beautifully, we invite you to join us in an "unplugged" ceremony. While we understand the impulse to snap photos, we've entrusted a professional photographer to immortalize our special day. To maintain the sanctity of our ceremony and the integrity of our photos, we kindly ask that all devices remain tucked away until after the ceremony. Short answer: During the ceremony, ABSOLUTELY NOT, put it away. Any other time, yes!

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

Since we're soaking up the sun and sea vibes on the shores of Mexico, our dress code is all about laid-back elegance. While we're keeping it casual, let's save the board shorts and swim cover-ups for another day, shall we? Ladies, think flowing skirts and fun dresses, while gents can rock linen shirts or jackets with optional ties. And when it comes to footwear, leave the flip flops behind and opt for a pair of dress sandals, loafers, boat shoes, wedges, or block heels. And ladies, we trust you won't need a reminder, but just in case: steer clear of white attire, because the spotlight's reserved for the bride!

Question

How many nights should we stay?

Answer

We would recommend staying at least 3 nights! We will be having a Welcome Party on Friday to gather all of our guests together informally, then the wedding festivities will all be taking place Saturday, so one extra night to have for yourselves to hang out and relax, or go on an excursion would be perfect! **NOTE: If you want to book 7 nights or longer, the PROMOCODE will not work on the website, but the resort WILL honor it if you call them and provide that to them!

Question

Is there a dress code for the restaurants?

Answer

The Excellence Resorts DOES have a Dinner dress code: Casual Elegance *Gentlemen: Long pants, collar shirt. *Ladies: Long pants, Capri pants, skirt, blouse. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts or beach sandals are not allowed.

Question

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Yes! Check out the resort's restaurant menus on their website! https://www.excellenceresorts.com/riviera-maya-cancun/excellence-riviera-cancun/flavors-and-spirits/

Question

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we're truly grateful for the effort you're making to join us on our special day. Your love and support mean everything to us. We want to emphasize that your presence is the most important gift of all, and no further gifts are required. However, if you feel inclined to browse our wedding registry, please know that any items selected can be sent directly to our home address.
