Alex and Serena both worked at the local DQ for their first job, but not at the same time! This is where the they first met, though they did not connect until later in life. Fast forward to 2018 and a Facebook message from Alex about moving back to the area and looking to get involved in the community. He did his research, as he knew community involvement was a passion of Serena's. After some lighthearted conversation and jokes about his pet goldfish, the two instantly hit it off. There was something about Alex's charm and charisma that prompted Serena to say, "yes" to the first date. The rest is history.
On a chilly December night, Alex took Serena to a Dickens of Christmas in Ripon. Alex and Serena both have a love of Christmas and the outdoor event was a perfect night to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. After smelling mothballs in Benjamin Franklin (Yes they still exist) they walked about downtown taking in the lights and displays while sipping some hot cocoa. A horse drawn carriage ride followed by a picture by the sleigh would draw the night to a close, but as a stranger took their picture Alex dropped to his knee and asked the question that would join the two of them forever. With tear-filled eyes, "yes" rolled off her lips. Serena and Alex came to Ripon as a couple, but left with a lifetime ahead of them with lots of memories to come. Seasons come and go, but after December 7th 2019, Frost would last forever.
