We crossed paths on Bumble, a popular dating app! Sera had relocated to Austin just five days before this 'swipe,' and we agree that God placed us in the right place at the right time. In the initial stages, our relationship was a slow burn, as we took the time to truly get to know each other, enjoying video games and finding time together in our hectic schedules. We connected over shared interests in the outdoors, Harry Potter, and, of course, our love for the Kansas City Chiefs and college football. About nine months after our 'talking phase,' we came to the realization that what we had was truly special. It was at this point that our love story truly began, and we both understood that this was the real deal.

We were on a family vacation with Sera's family in St. Thomas. The plan had been set in motion two months prior to the trip. Christian had coordinated with her family, who played a significant role in organizing the entire experience. Sera's parents had chartered a boat for the day, and we were taken to a private beach in St. John. The engagement took place on Little Cinnamon Bay, followed by a day of snorkeling and a celebratory dinner at the only steakhouse in St. Thomas.
