We met on the online dating app eHarmony in 2021. Anneka had just transferred to London to begin her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sebastian was working in London. Right away our conversations were so interesting and engaging, it felt natural and easy. We ended up rescheduling our first date because we both just moved flats around the same time. We finally met in Richmond, London for the first time in December 2021. During our first date we connected so well, and it seemed like we both enjoyed each other's company. We were both already hopping for a second date. The day after the first date, Anneka got sick, and being still very much in the Covid-19 pandemic, she took a test. It was positive. Anneka was devastated as she could not fly home for Christmas without a negative test and to make matters worse, she likely just infected the very wonderful person she hoped to get to know better. Anneka messaged him saying she was sorry and he should probably take a Covid-19 test. His response was kind and gracious, shrugging it off as if were no big deal that his plans changed. So even after making him sick on the first date, Sebastian asked Anneka on a second date and then many more. As we connected and got to know each other further, it was clear we were a perfect match and that we would be there for each other through rain or shine.
