Dearest family and friends, We are so excited to share this very special and significant event with you.

We met through a mutual cherished friend, Olumayowa, but it was a picture of Seme that first caught Adedayo's eye. One could call it smitten at first sight. He quickly messaged his good friend Olumayowa to say in his words 'keep that girl for me' since at the time we were continents apart. Hence, what followed after was a very charming and fun first date when Adedayo was in Maryland visiting friends. Upon his return to Lagos, we kept in close touch and made plans to see each other frequently. Our connection grew stronger from there into the bond you are witnessing today!

We planned a trip to Universal Studios Orlando Florida and during this trip Adedayo had planned on proposing to Seme. However, he unfortunately forgot the ring and so he swiftly made plans with Olumayowa and Seme's best friends Kenny, Mary and Taiwo to propose at what Seme thought was just dinner out in DC with him and her friends. In the thick of the pandemic and with the help of our friends, he managed to reserve this swanky romantic restaurant Dirty Habit in DC and acted very nonchalant the whole day. The only thing Seme was skeptical about was her friends forcing her to dress up for a simple night out midweek, but she didnt think too much of it. On our way to the restaurant, Mary who kindly drove us all intentionally missed exits so that we would arrive on time for everything to be ready and all our friends to be at the venue. He walked ahead of us in preparation, the waiter then walked Seme with her best friends behind her to where they would be seated for the night. They opened the door and there amidst a heart shaped bed of luscious vibrant red rose petals and floating candles, Adedayo was down on one knee with the ring in his hand. It was perfect!
