In 2015, Alex was a senior and Chelsea was a junior at Klamath Union High School. They were on the track team together, Chelsea was a cheerleader and Alex, a football player. After Alex graduated, he attended UTI and Chelsea finished high school, all while continuing their friendship. Once Chelsea began college, a large group of friends kept the two of them close. After a strong friendship of 6 years, they both realized the love they had for each other and decided to start something new. They have attended weddings together, travelled, and even moved to a new state. Their love for each other has grown stronger over the many years of friendship and will continue for a lifetime.
On August 1st, 2022, Alex and Chelsea wanted to recreate their first date before she moved away to attend PA school. Alex had been planning this event for months, purchased the most beautiful ring, and asked her father for his blessing. The morning of, there were advisories of nearby wildfires, possible rain, and bad smoke. Chelsea tried to make rearrangements to prevent any misfortune, but they decided to hike Toketee Falls anyway. Once they got to the base of the waterfall, Alex set up his tripod and started recording. They were the only people at the waterfall and the weather could not have been better. With Chelsea facing the waterfall, Alex got on one knee and proposed. Chelsea was taken by complete surprise and said “What are you doing?!” After tears and laughter, she responded without hesitation, “YES!”.
