We met online, pretty random, texting about our favorite metal bands! After we found out we have an eerie amount of things in common, we decided to meet to go to a hiking and camping trip in the White Mountains, NH.

Chris and I went to Midgardsblot - a metal and viking-themed festival in Norway. He proposed right before we went to a Metal Yoga class. It was a beautiful sunny day overlooking the ocean.

Her parents were very thoughtful, nice and receptive of me. We stayed at a cabin in the Black Forest and hiked a ton. Her dad was driving us around everywhere. Main attractions were waterfalls, a castle and a monastery.

We got married during a pandemic! When I came to the United States the Pandemic closed the borders just a couple days after my arrival. Chris and I had a cozy civil marriage with just his parents and siblings at our town library and after that we got take out for food. Things were not like we planned but that's okay. As a result of the pandemic and border closure we didn't get to celebrate yet. I haven't seen my family from Germany since the start of the pandemic. Now that everything is opening back up we are finally ready to have our celebration, well over a year later. We are excited to have you around to finally celebrate our union! Can't wait to see you!
