On a quiet and slow afternoon in Kutztown Pennsylvania at a small town Brewery called Saucony Creek, Sela was just ending her server shift for the day. On that quiet day, Ryan decided he wanted to apply to work at the brewery, so he walked in and sat at the bar. Sela walked behind the bar to clocked out and went home, not knowing she had just met her future husband. Oh, and don't worry, there was another bartender working that helped Ryan to apply and drink some beer; thanks Anthony! Fast forward a couple weeks, Ryan and Sela had become work pals. They knew if they were working the same shift, work would be way more enjoyable. The two got to know one another sitting across from each other rolling silverware. They remained friends through their college years and continued their friendship for the next four years. On a beautiful June summer day, Ryan saw that Sela was back from her Thailand trip and decided to text her. He asked if he could take her out on a date! Sela received the text and was so excited! She thought about it all day but decided that she didn't want to ruin their friendship and ended up turning Ryan down for the date. (Queue sad music here.) The next day, Sela was Kayaking with a friend and told them what happened. Thankfully, Sela's friend talked some sense into her! This led to Sela texting Ryan back saying she had changed her mind, regretted saying no and would love to go on a date with him! - Thanks Emilie! A couple weeks later they met up for their first date in Lancaster city. The two spent the entire day together catching up over food and drinks. Ryan and Sela had two more dates after that. Their second date was a hiking day and the third date was a friends wedding. The day after the wedding, they stopped in to have a drink at Saucony Creek Brewery. They were sitting outside and Ryan said to Sela, "I know we're a little old for this but, wadaya say? Wanna make this thing official? Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" Sela said, "Yeah, let's do this thing." They officially started dating on September 19th, 2020. Fast forward to September 17th, 2023. Ryan and Sela took a road trip to Saucony Creek Brewery where Ryan had a surprise birthday celebration waiting for Sela. They walked into the back room where their family and friends all yelled, "surprise!" Two hours later, Ryan took Sela outside to the same spot he said, "Wadaya say? Wanna make this thing official? Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" But this time, he got down on one knee and said "Wadaya ya say?" ... He didn't actually say that, but he did confess his love for Sela and asked her to marry him. She said yes with zero hesitation. This leads us to why you're on this website today. Sela and Ryan will be married on October 25th, 2024 and are extremely excited to celebrate with all of their family and friends. See you all soon!
