2017: Sean and Christina first met in their Church Community Group, where their friendship grew over 5 years. Christina was still in college, and Sean had long locks past his shoulders, so it would take a few years (and a haircut) before their love would spark. While they initially got to know each other chatting about romantic things like tough UW accounting classes, they really became friends when Sean would drive Christina home from group gatherings each week so she could avoid the lonely bus ride home. 2018-2019: Sean gets a haircut. Christina does a double take and her interest sparks! Being the proper lady that she is, a sprinkle of flirtiness and patience…and a bit more patience, would eventually pay off. Spring of 2020: Sean and Christina’s friendship grew over countless pandemic game and movie nights with their Quarantine Crew. Sean would walk Christina to her car afterwards every week. (Wow what a gentleman!). Slowly the walk to the car extended to longer walks around the block just to spend a bit more time together. August 2020: Sean decides to ask Christina on their first date! It was a long time coming; he finally asked one starry night while the two were walking Green Lake, and despite not believing what she heard, she was eager to say yes. One week later, on a romantic summer evening, Sean picked Christina up and gave her fresh blueberries (he knew they were her favorite) and took her to Ella Bailey Park for a picnic overlooking the Seattle skyline. 2020-2021: The next year and few months the two grew closer than they would have expected. They enjoyed traveling around the country, trying new hobbies and restaurants, meeting each others’ families, and spending countless hours together. They quickly realized that their time together was more enjoyable and meaningful than time apart. And one morning while the couple was vacationing with friends in San Diego, in their first moment alone, Sean told Christina he loved her. Christina felt the same in her heart and expressed relief and excitement that the feelings were mutual. Their love has remained constant through many transitions and life changes over the course of the year. The Big Day! December 24, 2021: Christina got ready for a casual morning coffee date with a friend. Little did she know Sean was pulling the strings behind the scenes. (Fortunately, she had put on a touch of mascara to match her trendy leggings!). The two girls are at coffee, when the friend asks Christina if she wants to go on a little walk before the rain begins (Classic Seattle). Christina says sure, and before she knows it they are driving to their “quick walk” (very suspicious…). Ten minutes later they are parked at Ella Bailey Park (Remember, the first date Location), and Christina thinks this is the strangest coincidence that out of all the parks, this would be her friend’s choice. The two begin to walk down to the overlook, and Christina catches the glimpse of a striking man across the field. He’s wearing Sean's white tennis shoes, Sean's dark wash blue jeans, and Sean's mustard yellow Patagonia Parka (She tends to notice these things, she still works at Nordstrom after all…). Christina looks at her friend and asks seriously, "What is going on?" Her friend simply responds, "I think you should walk over there". Christina treks across the park knowing Sean had something important to ask her. After some sweet words, Sean gets down on one knee and asks the question! Christina starts to give Sean the biggest hug, forgetting she actually had to tell him “Yes!”. July 30, 2022: The day the two choose to say "I do" and begin a new life together. They cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
