Greek diners bring together many things: eggs and gyro meat, ketchup and tzatziki sauce, and even spanakopita and slightly below average coffee. However, one particular Greek diner on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo also brought together a soon-to-be Urologist and an even sooner-to-be nurse practitioner. Things started slowly, with the usual social media and text exchanges. Next came sunset root beer floats in the harbor. 2 years later, this pair moved into an apartment near that Greek diner. One dog, a few trips around the world, several moves, a proposal, and a handful of hospitals later, they bought a house in Philadelphia. Despite a little delay thanks to COVID, everything comes full circle as they return to Buffalo to make their love official, and maybe even share some subpar coffee at that diner. See you in Buffalo!
