We met by chance when Sean was filling in at the dental office Laura worked at before dental school. Sean had just moved to Portland so he asked Laura to hang out since she grew up in the area and he wanted someone to show him around... Laura gave Sean her number and thus began the infinite debate about who hit on who first. Since then they have moved across the country together, got a dog and come back home to the west coast.

Sean grew up spending every winter skiing, so naturally when Sean and Laura got together he taught her how to shred at the mountain. They are lucky enough to have access to Laura’s father’s cabin on Mt. Hood. Together they’ve enjoyed many weekends there skiing on the mountain, cuddled by the fireplace and admiring the scenery. Sean decided this romantic location would be the perfect place to propose to Laura. Unfortunately, the day of his planned proposal they got out to the cabin after trekking through icy roads only to realize he forgot the key to the cabin. Set on making the proposal happen Sean took Laura down to the river and popped the question, Laura of course said yes! Sean then proceeded to scale the side of the cabin to break into the second floor window. While Laura was holding the ladder for Sean to climb she heard something large fall behind her. Convinced Sean had fallen, Laura panicked thinking she was going to have to take him to the ER not five minutes after they got engaged. Thankfully, it was just the screen from the second floor window and Sean made it into the cabin safely via the unlocked window. After that, Sean and Laura were able to finally relax and celebrate their night newly engaged, but they love telling everyone the fun story of their engagement.
