In the summer of 2020 a small town girl from Nebraska and a city boy from N. Carolina met in the United Kingdom at a backyard BBQ. Both of us had asked a friend to introduce us, and knew upon meeting that something was special. Although we were both in our 20s, it felt like being back in middle school again. We were unsure of what to do or say, or if we should "make a move" that could possibly ruin our fast-building friendship. After a couple months, during a weekend trip to Italy, we both knew it was time to take a chance and see what we could be. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't go out on dates, but spent a lot of quality time cooking new recipes and dancing in the kitchen together. By December we were virtually introducing each other to our families. In March we finally said "I love you", though we both knew months prior. After a 7-month deployment, Sean came home, we took 2 weeks to travel Italy, and then agreed to move in together. In the year or so that followed we found a new home, went on dozens of adventures all over Europe, with a special proposal in Norway, and finally made an international move back to the US! It's been a whirlwind that sometimes feels surreal, but we are very excited to take our next step together and share it with all of you.
