Coffee Lab
This fantastic local coffee shop & breakfast spot is a short walk from hotel El Ganzo. Highly recommend 10/10.
NOROOM
NOROOM is above the Coffee Lab and is a Hi-Fi bar (vinyl records) with really good natural wine. The owner Gerry is awesome and we highly recommend checking it out. It is also a short walk from hotel El Ganzo.
La Lupita Taco & Mezcal
They are easily the best tacos in San Jose!
Dalton Gin Bar
Dalton Gin Bar is a lively rooftop located downtown San José del Cabo. On the weekends there is usually a DJ, and the specialty cocktails are great. Note from the editor: I swapped out gin for mezcal on a few drinks, and they were fire!
Flora Farms
Flora Farms is a seasonal, field-to-table plates in an airy, rustic-chic restaurant with bars and great shops. They often have live music around 7 pm! You could quickly drive or take a taxi here from your hotel. FYI the roads here are dirt and bumpy so don't be alarmed, but it's worth the ride! (8-10 mins from El Ganzo)
Playa Acapulquito
Playa Acapulquito, also locally known as Old Man’s Beach is a great local spot for surfing. It’s an easy wave and is ideal for long boarders. The area is also great for snorkeling and swimming. You can rent surfboards and stand-up paddle boards at any of the surf shops in the area.
