We met in high school. Alicia was a freshman and Sean was a senior. We started passing notes and became friends. Unfortunately, our one date went very wrong, but we stayed in touch for years. Being young, we never realized the power of the attraction. After years of keeping tabs on each other, we reconnected and realized that the electricity from our youth was still there.
After getting all the needed approvals from Uncle Bill, Bob, and Kade, Sean practiced and prepared to propose, for a month. On Thursday, June 8th, Sean took Alicia and the boys out for a nice dinner before a trip to visit family. Sean sat at the piano and played 'Everyone has a dream' by Billy Joel, singing to Alicia in the packed restaurant. Once done, he took out the ring and asked for Alicia's hand in marriage. Alicia hugged, kissed, and declared her love for Sean. Sean quickly pulled away and said "but you didn't say yes." Embarrassed that she had forgotten the most important part she quickly said "Yes, Yes, Yes!" Sean immediately relaxed, Alicia had said yes. (As if there would be any question to that.)
