How We Met

September 2012

Sean and I's story is a long one, as we all know! Let's go allllll the way back to September of 2012. I know, long time ago! I was working at Best Buy at the time, where I met Sean's best friend Dillon. One night during work, my friend Micaela asked if I wanted to go play basketball with her, Dillon, and a couple other friends that also worked at Best Buy. I said sure, sounds like fun. We get to Centennial elementary where Dillon asked if it was okay if his friend Sean could play with us. This white truck pulls in with these super bright headlights and out pops this super cute guy with blonde, curly hair and I thought to myself, I need to get to know this guy. Thinking back, I think I knew that he was my forever! A couple days later, Micaela and I went to Dillon's parent's house where Sean eventually showed more of his fun-loving personality after being super quiet the last time we hung out. Later that night, we went back to Micaela's house where Dillon, Sean and a couple other friends came and we hung out and watched movies. Sean was charming me with his humor and we talked and laughed together the rest of the night. We eventually swapped numbers, and the rest is history!

The Proposal

August 20, 2019

So there is a bit of a back story to this one! For those of you that don't know, Sean has fake proposed to me multiple times throughout our relationship, which shouldn't surprise any of you that knows him! The first time he fake proposed to me was before my younger sister Katie's hockey game. We got Burger King beforehand, and he "proposed" to me with an onion ring! Eventually, there were other times he "proposed" to me with a ring pop, a candy heart, and a Taco Bell hot sauce packet (you know, the one that says MARRY ME!). The day of the proposal, he was coming home from work and grabbing Taco John's for lunch. When he got home, he put the Taco Johns bag on the counter and hung out with me in our room where we were catching up and watching TV. I was starving and wanted to go to Target to grab some groceries and went out to get my tacos when I come across a purple box with a ribbon on it from Zorells, INSIDE the Taco Johns bag! I was so surprised and he told me the box was empty and that he went to Zorells and bought an empty box to play a prank on me. Cue eye roll here! Moving along, I was washing dishes and he gave me a fake ring from my coworker's bachelorette party and asked if it was okay if I received that ring from his proposal. I rolled my eyes and obviously said NO. He then came up with ANOTHER hot sauce packet from Taco Bell that said MARRY ME on it, fake proposing AGAIN. Eventually, he went out and was messing with his truck while I finished up inside. I went out and sat in the garage waiting for him to be done when all of a sudden I hear, "well what about this box?" I turned around and he was down on one knee, with a REAL ring and a REAL proposal. Needless to say I was verryyyyyy surprised and caught off guard. What a "Sean" way to propose, don't you think? :)

For all the days along the way
