It was the Summer of 2017, and Sadie had just moved to D.C. to begin an internship on Capitol Hill. On her 7th day in the city, Sadie was on her way to a volunteer event run by the California State Society. She was running late and opted to take an Uber Pool instead of the Metro in order to make it on time. Little did she know, David happened to be dropping suits off at his tailor located directly across from Sadie's dorm. He had felt shortchanged by his tailor and decided to call an Uber Pool in order to save some cash. At this point, neither of them suspected they would meet the love of their life through a simple push of a button! This turn of events led to what David now often refers to as "the most expensive Uber ride of his life." David quickly struck up a conversation and the two immediately hit it off; discussing David's experience in the Trump Administration and Sadie's newfound love for D.C. When it came time for David's stop, he made sure to give Sadie his business card to ensure that he would see her again. They went to dinner that same night and the rest is history!
