Julie is Ali's younger (& taller) sister and best friend for life. While they share a similar sense of humor, Julie is the more fashionable sister and has taken her Matron of Honor duties seriously by immediately starting a Pinterest board for the wedding once Scott proposed.
Daniel Saunders
Best Man
Daniel is Scott's younger (& taller) brother. They are both fascinated by technology and UGA football and they have even been mistaken for twins. Daniel met Ali the first week she and Scott were dating, but faithfully kept his lips sealed for two months until Scott told their parents about Ali.
Sofi Quinodoz
Bridesmaid
Sofi and Ali first met when they were the only ladies at a Caltech dinner with a guest speaker. They bonded over their mutual interest in bioinformatics and RNA biology, but also over their love of wine, cheese, and Bachelor Nation. Sofi is looking forward to establishing the Princeton chapter of Bachelor Nation Bracketing Group when she starts her postdoc. Sofi played a key role in helping Scott get Ali to the surprise engagement without arousing suspicion.
Aaron Greenwell

Legend has it that Aaron and Scott became friends at swim team practice the summer before Kindergarten. They grew up together exploring the outside world on bike at first, and then in matching 90s Volvos. Aaron always has an interesting new project - recently it's been motorcycles and an RV, but it used to be mountain bikes and desktop computers.

Fellow Texan Lars and Ali met when their mutual Texan friend invited Lars to Ali's birthday party. Ali and Lars bonded over their love for karaoke and quickly became close friends. Their go-to karaoke duet is "You're The One That I Want" from Grease.

Ross and Scott have been friends since elementary school and went to high school together. Many nights were spent in Ross's basement intensely playing board games. According to unbiased observers, Ross was always better at video games, but Scott always ran the pool table.
Riley Galton

Riley and Ali became close friends when Riley rotated in the lab Ali was a grad student in. They bonded over their mutual love for cheese, wine, animals, and really bad reality TV. Riley took the first ever picture of Scott and Ali together after they started dating at Katie's birthday party.
Lucas Meirelles

Lucas and Scott first met at Caltech recruitment and immediately connected over their interests in microbiology and soccer. Now they work in the same lab and play intramural soccer together most Sundays. Recently, Scott and Ali had a great adventure attending Lucas's wedding in São Paulo, Brazil. Lucas and Scott are also both proud parents of very spoiled cats.
Katie Schretter

Katie (human pictured above) and Ali met the first morning of their recruitment to Caltech. The first week of grad school they bonded over their mutual love of cheese and wine and have been close friends ever since. Katie has helped Ali expand the Bachelor Nation Bracketing Group by recruiting and hosting the Janelia Farm chapter. Katie played a key role in helping Scott get Ali to the surprise engagement without arousing suspicion.

Sha and Scott were roommates at Caltech and bonded over deep discussions of biology and the US political system. Recently, Sha has repurposed his world class cricket abilities to lead a ragtag team (including Scott) to win the prestigious Caltech Intramural Softball League Championship.

Ali and Taso first met at Lars's birthday party. They quickly bonded over their love of wine and RuPaul's Drag Race. That was just the first of many adventures together! Since Scott and Ali have been together, Taso has become close friends with Scott, so it was an easy choice when deciding who they would like to officiate the wedding. Taso is a bridesman, the officiant, and the s'mores master extraordinaire!
Atlas Lumley
Ring Bear
Atlas is super excited to be the ring bear for his Dr. Tia and Dr. Scott. Ali's nephew first bonded with Scott building ramps for hot wheels and playing legos one Christmas. Since then, Atlas has successfully used Ali and Scott's love to manipulate his mom into purchasing legos. When he saw a lego scientist resembling Scott, he told his mom they needed to bring Dr. Scott home. The set came with a blonde lego lady that Atlas said was Dr. Tia, because "they go together".

Flower Girls
The twins, Ophelia and Priscilla, have no idea what is going on, but they will be lovely flower girls. The first time Scott met some of Ali's extended family was at the baby shower for the twins.
