Scott and Jenna met when Jenna began studying organic chemistry with Noemie in the Boise State Library's MakerLab - Scott's natural habitat on campus. The two became quick friends - owing to shared interests in science, 3D printing, theme parks, and a love of learning. They would often embark on late night shenanigans to downtown, as well as the nearby lake, with their group of MakerLab friends. A few short months later, their friendship blossomed into something more during the 2017 Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic, and they began building the wonderful relationship they have today.
Although the official "date of engagement" is Cinco de Mayo, Scott and Jenna had actually been secretly planning their wedding for 10 months. By the time they officially got engaged, the couple had already been ring shopping, dress shopping (multiple times), picked out a venue, multiple vendors, and had a meeting with a caterer. This was, for the most part, kept secret from friends and family, creating a secret to be shared only by Scott and Jenna. The engagement took place in the bell tower of the Boise Train Depot, overlooking downtown Boise at sunset. Needless to say, she said "yes."
