Answers to your burning questions!
Question

When can we arrive?

Answer

We have reserved group campsites at Diaz Lake beginning on March 16th through March 19th. Sites 44,45,and 46 will be open for you to use. (These sites combined will accommodate 45 people so feel free to set up and spread out)

Question

What do we wear?

Answer

While we would never require a dress code and want all our guests to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. We are hiring a photographer and want to document our day! So try to avoid wearing anything we will tease you about for years to come! It should be noted that our vows will be shared in the desert across unlevel terrain. Its best to avoid open toed or high heeled shoes, plan to be walking off trail to celebrate.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Historically, Lone Pine in March has highs of 68 and lows of 38. All guests should pack layers as the weather in the high desert can quickly cool off after dark. Those planning to camp should bring plenty of blankets and a sleep system to stay warm throughout the night.

Question

What else can we bring?

Answer

Anything you need to be comfortable while you camp including your tent or shelter. If you are arriving early please bring enough food, water and snacks to accommodate yourself till wedding weekend. We will be providing a charcuterie spread and dinner after our ceremony. Feel free to bring any of your own beverages (alcoholic or not) that you prefer, we will be bringing a limited selection of wine, champagne and beer with us.

Question

Where can we shower?

Answer

Whitney Portal Hostel and Hotel in Lone Pine offers showers to the public for $5-$10. Due to Covid Restrictions, reservations are recommended. You can call ahead to reserve, or reference their website at https://mountwhitneyportal.com/web/

Question

Can we swim and fish the lake?

Answer

Absolutely! The lake is stocked with rainbow trout, so bring your permit and cast in a line (you all know Scott will be). While Scott and I have never delved into the lake feel free to bring your suit and let us know how it is!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have decided in lieu of traditional gifts to set up a Honeymoon Fund. Unfortunately, with our current living situation we would not have the space to appreciate all the wonderful items we would receive. So Scott and I have created a tab on our website where you can browse through our Adventure Wishlist. Each of these items will help us achieve the Honeymoon of our dreams. If you would like to contribute we can be found through Zola.com.
